Who will teach you and why is Jacob this the right person?
Hey, I am Jacob! Since childhood, I’ve loved music, starting with listening to all of my parents’ vinyl records. In 2005, I discovered MTV and saw the music video for *Paul Johnson – Get Get Down*, which showed a DJ playing for a crowd. At that moment, I said to myself, „I want this”. I loved spending hours in my room searching for music, learning how to mix, and playing just for myself. I mixed anything I could—The Beatles with AC/DC, Freddie Mercury with Madonna, Cher with ABBA.
I played my first school disco while still in elementary school. In high school, I regularly organized parties and became the go-to DJ for 18th birthday celebrations. During my university years, I played at every faculty party, student ball, and campus club event—of which there were plenty. That’s also when I took my first steps into the professional world of music, providing entertainment for weddings and corporate events.
For a while, I considered pursuing music production and taking the professional route, but to the surprise of many, it wasn’t quite the right fit for me. I wanted to play live for people, in the moment, mixed music styles. I didn’t want to limit myself to just one genre.
I’ve been DJing for half my life. Today, I teach DJing to people eager to create and develop a creative passion that allows them to express themselves. I created the Beginner DJ Course, an online program where I guide students step by step through the process of mixing music.

How do I get access to Course after I purchase it?
All materials are on the Thinkific platform, giving you access anytime, anywhere, on any device. You’ll need to set up your Thinkific account during purchase, and you can use it anytime to learn.
What I need to use the Course?
All you need is a computer and a DJ controller, preferably with Serato software. You can check our list of recommendations here -> Recommended Controllers
Can I learn on a different software and controller to the one used in the course?
Yes, the course is quite universal, but we recommend Serato software and Pioneer DJ because, in our experience, it’s the best software and hardware for commercial and party DJs.
I'm not fluent in English, will I be able to handle it?
As you will quickly discover, English is not our primary language, but it does allow for effective communication. All materials are recorded and written in simple, accessible language that can be understood by a wide range of countries.
Do I have to buy the tracks to use Course?
No, you can easily use TIDAL DJ (more info here), and for a small monthly fee, you’ll have access to all TIDAL music, streaming it directly in your Serato software.
